·         Working closely with script development,production, postproduction and final materials delivery for film festivals and international sales agents of children's feature films like Rajan Khosa's GATTU, Buddhadeb Dasgupta's WOH and Bakul Mukhtiar's KAPHAL aka WILD BERRIES ( premiered at MAMI festival and now playing at Gothenberg International Film Festival Sweden) and also in the process of creating global marketing and monetisation strategy for Shilpa Ranade's debut Hindi animation feature GOOPI GAWAIYAA BAGHA BAJAIYAA based on classic Bengali film by Satyajit Ray ( Played in official selection at the Toronto International followed by Busan, MAMI and Dubai International film festivals).

·         Also involved with overall creative and production management , budgetary and creative production supervision starting with ideation/optioning of material for development or assigning writers for rewriting of story/dialogue/screenplay right upto tweaking rough cut till final approval by creative and script/budget committee and executing final delivery for other CFSI pan-Indian slate with feature films like SUMMER HOLIDAYS (Malayalam) by Murali Nair, KIMA' S LODE by Zwala, a Mizorami film, BHUJANG (Hindi) by Mohinder Pratap Singh, PAPPU KI PAKDANDI( Hindi) by Seemaa Desai and GAURU (Hindi) by Ramkishan Choyal in various stages of pre-production, production and/or postproduction.

·         Rendered project management/operations for film digital intermediate workflow and co-ordinated with

a large number of industry film production houses related to booking/scheduling of the studio with respective colorists and VFX team. Also handled business development and client servicing. Actively liaised and co-ordinated with potential international clients from Europe, Australia and North America.

·         Digital re-mastering, subtitling, telecine and conversion of feature films from SD to HD servicing channels like STAR TV, COLORS, UTV DISNEY and also marketing the idea of restoration for putting up old library content via Cloud Computing.


Associate Producer - Future East Mumbai January 2010- April 2011

Worked as in-house producer for tv-commercials and also supervised line production, budgets, schedules, postproduction upto final delivery after approval of the clients and advertising agencies. Involved with the development, preproduction, contractually binding cast and crew including discussing and negotiating monies and numbers, budgeting and scheduling , music licencing and optioning rights domestically and internationally for commercial usage in soundtrack etc for company's maiden fiction motion picture venture, MISS LOVELY directed by Ashim Ahluwalia. Also handled final material deliveries for the film by liaising and coordinating postproduction in Film Republic Lab Germany and also devised international positioning and festival strategy of the film by premiering in Cannes followed by Toronto International Film Festival 2012 leading to successful acquisition by global sales companies, Fortissimo Films for global rights and Cinetic Media for North America. (Recently worked closely with company as a consultant for domestic Indian distributon of the film last month.)


Executive producer - Rising Star Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai   August 2009- December 2009

English Feature film A PRAYER FOR RAIN starring Martin Sheen, Mischa Barton, Martin Brambach, Kal Penn, Rajpal Yadav,Tannishtha Chatterjee. Writer/Director: Ravi Kumar (in postproduction). Was involved in developing the project with British Indian director including vetting legal agreements/contract for entire cast and crew with international lawyers, negotiating postproduction and soft deals and managing entire above the line talent including Hollywood and other international agents/managers & SAG( Screen Actors Guild). Also structured finance, controlled line production, packaged the cast, cracked sales and distribution deal with top-brass British executive producer and found global world sales agents for international sales.


Associate Producer - Ocean of an Old Man                                                             January 2008- July 2009

·         Produced this microbudget indie feature which was first Indian film to be awarded the Asian Cinema Fund and the entire lineproduction was supervised locally at the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

·         for postproduction in Korea and world premiered in competition at Busan International Film Festival in 2008 and then travelled to Rotterdam Cinemart Market in 2009. Has won several awards, accolades worldwide ever since. Also granted Global Film Intiative grant for North American distribution.

·         Distributed the film in domestic market in May 2009 through Enlighten Film Society, Mumbai.


Development and creative producer - Idol Films Hong Kong (www.idolfilms.com) June 2007- December 2007

• Setting up the company's Indian operations and creation of their future feature film slate in Mumbai.

• Scouting for material from India and indigenous Indian fiction in translation for optioning and developing them into quality screenplays before taking them to studios with packaging attached.

• Writing marketing and sales pitches as well as business plans for the company's future feature film projects.

• Fundraising endeavors for setting up a corpus fund in India for South Asian films and documentaries.

Founding partner of PALADOR PICTURES Mumbai April 2004- May 2005

The first world sales company for independent cinema from India and also the only major acquisitions company for buying foreign and indie cinema titles for India from major international distributors/studios/library and catalogues worldwide.

• Liaise and coordinate with sellers and principals and work closely with them for acquisition of content.

• Finding hitherto unheard off new turk directors from different parts of India and/or their offbeat films or scripts/projects for pitching or distributing them internationally and also through alternative mechanisms/platforms in India.

• Collaborated in evolving a mission statement and overall strategy related to production and distribution.

• Attended most of the major film markets and festivals and developed THE OLIVE COLLECTION home video label (later rechristened as THE ONE WORLD collection) and REELOAD, the 365 film festival.
